Adsense is a reality in todays Internet world.  And that reality is that folks with a somewhat decent website can continually rake in a few pennies or more per day.  Maybe more, but the buzz about making $5000, $10,000 or $15,000 per month from a website are just a bit more than distorted.  And of course these magnificant sums are being produced on a monthly basis and all you need do is submit the paltry sum of $67.00 (or $97.00 or $107.00…you get the picture) and you will get the secret to these fabulous successes.

Now if I am making $15,000 per month (or anywhere near this) from Adsense why in the world would I want to spread the secret around for a few pennies and increase my competition?  Answer or course is because these sums are not easy to come by.  Yes there are webmasters pulling in thousands of dollars per month but lets stick a bit of reality into the mix.

These Adsense giants are not operating with just one site.  They have 50?, 100?, 1000?….you will never know.  And this is where the work enters the Adsense picture.  A well designed site just might make up to $20.00 or so from Google.  Probably an average site will pull you around $1.00 on a good day.  So while it is possible to make that $15,000 you might just need 500 sites…each one making that $1.00 and each one working 30 days will get you that grand old sum you could live forever on.

The costs involved to get a healthy income from Google? Well, 500 sites could easily cost you $4500 or more per year for the domain names. Then pop in a bit of cash for the hosting and of course with that much paperwork you will need some assistance. So you might need to fork out some cash for a site manager of some sort. And of course some of these sites will fail and need to be replaced with fresh information. Realizing that all of this outgo can easily be replaced by a month or so of high Adsense profits, to rely solely on Adsense for your internet income is a risky venture.

As you build the number of sites you run you probably will build your income, however you also increase the probability of failure. It will be necessary to constantly index and re-index your sites and this would be a bunch of paperwork right there. And with that much “cyber-paper” floating around you easily could infringe on a copywrite somewhere and Google would really slap you for that. Not to mention the amount of time you will spend chasing traffic for all those sites. And the worry about what you could have done in order to produce more income? Ouch!

So why this type of post on an Adsense Profits blog? I have realized just how much an Adsense network can make for you, and as well I have realized just how fragile of a business it is. There is absolutely no stability in your income. And what income you to receive may crash tomorrow with no return when Google discovers you out-of-bounds with their TOS. So you have hours and hours of hard work to produce the sites. You are going to spend countless hours chasing traffic to gain the clicks you need, and you will develop an ulcer and become bald from worry over the whole thing.

And what have I discovered for myself in this bit of print? Right now I have just under 50 sites that are adsense friendly. And my goal by the end of November is to launch another fifty or so for a total near 100. Then I am going to spend those worrisome hours chasing traffic to increase click-throughs and daily profits. When I have them all operational, and before I need to be put into a strait-jacket, I am going to take the profits from these 100 sites and invest it into a “real” internet business that will have a life-span measured in something other than milliseconds.

In other words, it does not matter the frustrations of an Adsense network. It does not matter the hours invested in whatever chore will always be at hand and demanding attention. What does matter in regards to building an “Adsense Empire” is the challenge of the task! When the man was asked why he wanted to climb Mt. Everest his answer was…”because it is there”. Same reason to work with Adsense…simply because it is THERE!!!
